Digital Pigeon can generate web friendly previews for a wide variety of media formats. However, there are some scenarios it cannot handle:
- The Preview system supports a maximum file size of 20GB, if a file is larger than 20GB. we will not attempt to generate a preview for it. If you desire previews for a very large file, we'd suggest uploading a lower quality (preferable MP$) encoded version next to the original.
- If the Preview system detects that it cannot safely generate a preview, for example, if a video has Edit Tracks that manipulate sounds, it will not generate a preview.
- If the system detects an encoding error (or something it believes to be an error) a preview will not be generated.
- The Preview system will not be able to generate previews for password-protected PDFs. If you require a preview to be generated for these files, you will need to remove the password and re-upload the PDF to Digital Pigeon.
